Dance Pictures

Yesterday was picture day for Anna's dance class. This was her first experience with hairspray and makeup. She was very fearful that the hairspray was going to get in her eyes. Then was upset that she couldn't wipe her eyes after I put the eye shadow and mascara on. She wanted to wear the makeup but didn't want to keep her hands away from her eyes.

Little "Lover"

Will has become a little womanizer already.

When he started this daycare back in September, he got in trouble the first day for "biting" Ansley. It turns out that he was just trying to kiss her and closed his mouth on her. From that day on, those two were all over each other.

Then, he moved up to the 1yo class and left Ansley behind. Soon after, Macie started in his class. They were inseperable. If he tried to walk away, she would grab him by the shoulders and sometimes even leave scratches from holding onto him. You will notice a few pictures of them throughout the blog. Well, Macie moved up to the 1 1/2 yo class, but still comes by every afternoon to give him a kiss before she leaves.

So, Sunday afternoon we were at McDonalds and the kids were playing in the playground. There was another little girl that was about his age. She couldn't move fast enough to get away. He was hugging and kissing all over her! He even chased her up the slide as far as either of them could go! It was so cute to see him!!!

Easter Sunday

Easter morning, before we left for church, I got some pics of the kids outside playing in their Easter outfits.

Playing Outside

The weather has been beautiful so we have been outside a lot more -
here are a few snapshots I got with my phone while they were playing.

Easter Egg Hunt at our house

Saturday the 11th, our church had an Easter Egg Hunt at our house. We had almost 300 eggs, most filled with candy or prizes of some sort, and about 22 kids looking for eggs. The kids all seemed to have a great time, and we found one more egg the next morning on the way out the door to church.

Will's School Easter Egg Hunt

Will's Easter Egg Hunt was today. I didn't get to go, but Joey did. He said it took a few minutes, but they caught on. Will thinks the Easter eggs are "balls" so he is all about getting as many as he can. It is amazing that, at such a young age, they already have definite preferences for certain things. Will LOVES balls - it doesn't matter if it is a football, kickball, balloon, Easter egg, he loves it if he thinks it is ball.

Anna's Easter Egg Hunt at School

Anna's class had their Easter Egg Hunt today. The actual hunt lasted only a few minutes - it's amazing how many eggs a group of 3 and 4 year olds can pick up so quickly. (I can only imagine if this were clean-up time that things might not get picked up quite as quickly). After the hunt, they went back inside for cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, chips, jellybeans and chocolate. They had lots of fun!!

Anna the Pirate

Anna went to a Pirate birthday party for Coy, a friend in her class at school. When the kids arrived, Coy's mom dressed them up in bandanas, eye patches, gold hoop clip-on earrings and gave them each a sword. They had a great time playing, eating and "digging for gold" - Coy's mom had a baby pool with sand and water, in it were buried gold-painted rocks for the kids to find with shovels and rakes (although most preferred using their hands). Anna was fascinated with the pirate theme, and for the rest of the day, she did what pirates do - I had to make sure that chicken nuggets were "pirate food" before she could eat them (I am sure that anything healthy would not have qualified as pirate food).

Dance Recital Costumes

Anna got her costumes yesterday for her first dance recital - she was so excited. We tried them on last night, and it took a lot of convincing to get her to stop dancing and let me take them off of her!!

Married??

Anna informed me yesterday that she got MARRIED!! She said that at school, she heard the bells ringing (they go to preschool at a church) so she asked Evan if he wanted to marry her. He said yes, so now they are married. She found two little green circular pieces of plastic last night that are their "rings".
Joey asked where they are going on their honeymoon. After I explained in 4yo terms what a honeymoon is (trip you go on after you get married - Anna LOVES going on trips!!), she stated that they were going to Sylacauga. For those of you who are familiar with Sylacauga, you know that this isn't generally a vacation destination. So, I asked if maybe they were going to go to Disney World or something. She said, no, they are going to Sylacagua. And that is where they are going to live - in Sylacauga.
